It is estimated that within the two hundred independent countries of the world there are 6800 different spoken languages, creating a huge arena of language barriers and lost translations. However, within this arena, photographs and visual art can still be understood universally.
I approach every session with the intent of your images telling a story. Photography is a tangible, visual way to share our stories. And I believe in helping you share your own. My surroundings and subjects are captured with creative eyes and a classic, timeless aesthetic.
I love capturing the spontaneous, genuine, expressive, candid moments… as well as classic portraiture. Lighting comes courtesy of whatever is available; sun, sky, reflective light from the moon – we have access to it all. I feel I am not restricted by subject or location, only by an obligation to record the world I see with honesty, compassion & imagination. My canvas is splashed with both elements of the world outside and the digital world, a union of reality and imagined space. My portfolio of images reflects my love of vibrant colors, beautiful landscapes of the natural world and theatrical lighting.
I create photographs and create digital art because I want to call attention to what others might over-look; to better understand my reality… and my imagination; to walk less traveled paths and to tell new stories. I hope my work takes you to a place of nostalgia… and even breaks the barriers of your own imagination.
